Our friends from Wis stopped by with their new puppy and to our surprise brought some fantastic Wis beef tenderloin and ribeyes.
We added our touch to the portabella shrooms, a whiskey sauce recipe I have mentioned before in several threads.Whats not seen is baked potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, homemade angel food cake smothered with fresh strawberries.

Dem Wis fellers can bring their own dang fish!! they get out twenty times a year compared to my once a year!!
Ya, I put shrooms on the grill!! after I marinade them in one third cup of soy, one third cup of worchestershire and a shot and a half of jack #7 and soaked for an hour in a gallon zip lock bag.Old friends, new friends, everyone is welcome here !!
I can only hope that with not many more tomorrows ahead of me,,, that I can continue to meet more new friends and treasure the experiences of those times and leave this dead aching ass world behind me!!June 26, 2022 at 6:51 pm #2131893Grilled chicken tenderloins and FF. Mine is doctored with lawrys seasoning salt and about five minutes before I take it off of the pellet grill I add a chunk of Maytag blue cheese which is made at a dairy about twenty minutes from where we live.
The bread is dressed with wild chive which grows at my boyhood home, butter, garlic and of course salt!!I will warn anyone who is not used to blue cheese, the mold used to create it is penicillium, it may not agree with your system so try it in light doses, a salad is good way to introduce yourself to its tartness.
I use it because of its flavoring profile and it helps my auto immune disorder.Attachments:

Also had baked potato with butter, bacon bits, cheese, and sour cream.
Normally I will cook bacon on the grill for this meal but after having some of Denny O’s homemade bacon, store bought just doesnt cut it anymore,, and bacon bits, well, its what I had on hand.Attachments:
July 3, 2022 at 9:02 pm #2133211I’d eat that! Love a good strong blue cheese, so strong it’ll make a bull stick it’s head up it’s rear end trying to get away from the smell. Chunks of it in a Bloody Mary, heaven…
