A buddy of mine gave me some Elk Steak he shot in New Mexico last year. Elk might be my favorite game meat to eat. Seared it on the cast iron pan 2 minutes each side.
We’re regular users of the instant potatoes over here. One gets used to them. Getting kids between practices, games, and all of other life’s appointments need quick meals.
I do look forward to the days of real taters when things slow down.
Smoke a little 7 lbs brisket on my Weber Kettle. Salt pepper and garlic powder rub, 3 hours of smoke and 3 hours wrapped and it was fall apart tender and juicy.
Forgot last week had a little chicken and fish fry with original shore lunch. Caught the walleye with my 4 year old in a quick fishing trip, and he was pumped to eat it. Tough to beat imo!
