Marinated pork chops and fresh picked grilled asparagus is on its way inside to meet up with some roasted carrots and spuds. Garden strawberries for dessert. Very spoiled.

    east pizza casserole reciepe

1 lb burger of Italian sausage….i’d do the sausage
    6 oz peperoni
    3 cups mozzarella cheese……shredded
    2-15 oz cans crushed tomatoes
    1 tsp garlic salt
    I tblsp Italian seasoning
    16 oz penne pasta
    1/4 cup parmesan cheese……..shredded

brown meat, add onions, pour in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning and garlic salt.

boil pasta until firm but not to soft. drain, add 1/2 the pasta in a 9X13 cake pan. add 1/2 the meat mixture over the pasta, top with the mozzarella cheese, put a layer of pepperoni on.
then put the rest of the pasta, meat sauce and peperoni in, again layered. sprinkle the parmesan over the top. cover with foil and bake 30 minutes at 350. remove foil and bake another 15 minutes.

now, I had some for my lunch bucket today and noticed the pasta absorbed a lot of the moisture so it was a wee bit dry but it was almost better reheated. i’m trying to figure out what to add to get it a tad moister. its still really good!!!!

my wife made this, I wouldn’t hesitate to dump a can of mushrooms in it.

just an update on the easy pizza casserole. because the pasta absorbs a lot of the moisture, I added some pizza sauce out of the jar and it worked well.

Billy smoked a bunch of ribs yesterday, so we grilled some tonight for supper! Just need to add some BBQ sauce and prep the side dishes (carrots from the freezer from last year’s garden and buffalo chicken pasta salad!) Happy Fourth to all!

Well for lunch anyway. Venny brauts with wild rice and mushroom. From a butcher shop in Stevens point wisc. Along with home made kraut and my own version of Mac and cheese. Grated some smoked Gouda and pepper jack and threw it in.

Couldnt decide what to make. So I’m grilling 2 cheddar stuffed hamburgers, 2 cheese curd stuffed brat patties, 2 fat chops bacon wrapped and some corn on the cob.

My last home cooked meal before I have to eat over priced and over rated food in sin City. Ribeyes over charcoal, peas and a angel hair pasta something or other.

and some corn on the cob.

Oh man, put that corn directly on the grill. There’s nothing like the hint of charred husk and silk.

I had whole brined/grilled butterflied chicken. Sorry no pics. Could keep the begging family away. Barely got some for myself.

I bought 4 cobs from the farmer market for 50 cents

I usually open them up butter and season them them tie them back closed but today I added a bunch of butter and hot sauce and wrapped them up in foil. Was very good with hot sauce

We call it Chanhassen Chicken. Our best recollection/ reproduction of a meal we had at a dinner theatre a few years ago.

Fresh boneless chicken breast, pan fried in butter, seasoned w/ rosemary garlic. Laid on a bed of uncle Ben’s wild rice mixed with stove top stuffing & covered with hollandaise sauce, then served with green beans.
