Face it bud….you’d probably burn your lips trying to light it.

I put a match to our portable fire pit this afternoon to get rid of small limbs and stuff from the winter and when the fire was down to embers I put a pound of good, old-fashioned skin on hot dogs in the fish basket and roasted them up to perfection and we had us a picnic tonight. Almost 80 degrees, no wind, no bugs….it was perfect dining on the patio. I use that basket for brats too. Works like a charm.

Going to red wing next week and restaurant food gets old so I wanted a chunk of beef over charcoal. And fresh asparagus.

Now you’re finally cooking Glenn! We had broiled asparagus tonight too, ours with fresh crappie fillets. That chunk of cow sure looks good though.

I’ve never had them either. My fresh gulf seafood truck was in town last Wednesday with wild caught seafood from the day before and I had to give them a go.

Nothing beats fresh leaf lettuce from the garden! Tossed with shredded carrots, black beans, feta cheese, tortilla strips, and ranch dressing. Soon I’ll be adding garden tomatoes – just waiting for those flowers to bring me fruit!

Salad tip – mix all the fixings in a bowl with a lid. That way when you glob on the salad dressing you can close the lid and shake it up for an even mix. No clumps of misporportioned salad here!:)

Ya got a salad that warms my heart. That’s pretty much my base I work off. The garden tomatoes is the first thing I spy on when I come home from work. Peppers are close by so their not self conscious.

Im not sure how many different kinds there are but I know he paid an absurd amount of money. Think it cost him $1400. I would never pay that but I’m sure thankful he did grin

This was my first dry aged steak. I liked it. Very rich flavor with a sort of nutty taste.
