my guess is sone kind of Korean dish.

Close. It’s Vietnamese. It’s called pho.

I discovered pho because of my diet and can’t believe what I’ve been missing. The broth in this dish is incredible.

I used this recipe. I used a stock pot instead of a pressure cooker and cooked for about 6 hours.

That sounds pretty good actually. Might have to show the wife. She has been on a curry kick so that seems to be a once a week meal. Which was ok before week 32

Looks delicious. Off topic but how the he!! Is fish not considered meat for lent. I’ve never abided by lent rules my self. But I dont get how they dont consider fish a meat

Well when I was a little kid growing up in the late 60’s and early 70’s. That’s what we ate on Fridays during lent.

It’s a land and sky deal. The water is exempt. I believe alligator is also good too eat during lent.

Fish is cold-blooded so it is common practice to consider it fine to eat during Lent in lieu of red-blooded animals. Any cold-blooded animal is probably fine to eat during Lent, but in the west we don’t commonly consume other cold-blooded animals so I suppose fish became the norm. I read somewhere that it’s believed Jesus died on a Friday, so believers would pass on eating warm-blooded animals as a way to keep sacred the life Jesus sacrificed for our sins.

With all the cabbage and veggies, your pressure relief valve will be working overtime.

I was ok. The wife was smart enough to add an ice cream drink for desert, so I slept on the couch…… in case she had blown up during the night. She made it but the dog is deaf now.

Dave I hope you use a better cut than what I get at the local restaurants. They are always tougher so I order chicken as a norm.
