The neck has definitely become my favorite thing on the deer. These roasts just turn out great.

Yeah, neck roasts are awesome. Do you bone yours out first? I know some are weirded-out by cooking it with part of the spinal cord because of CWD, but it hasn’t hurt me yet. rotflol

Hope you at least remove the wind pipe. Dude at work one time slapped his plate down with neck roast and mashed taters. Looked good til I seen the shriveled up wind pipe still in it.

Tonight was thick cut bone in pork chops on the recteq, fresh made mashed taters, cheesy rice, and another one of my thrown together marinated green beans

That looks great. I’d need a cup of shredded cheese and few splashes of Tabasco. I will be making a batch shortly. May try playing with smoke on the recteq

It was supposed to be our little Saturday evening date night dinner, but mama and baby were sick. So she surprised me and made it tonight. First time she grilled my steak and it was great.

The social media algorithm has been showing me a lot of Over The Top smoked chili’s seems like a great idea. Basically put the meat on a grate above the chili pot, and smoke it all until the meats done, then add to the chili.

This is pretty much how every meal I ever make ends up. I never understood the no mixing and letting food touch. I take a fork of everything I’m eating and then cram it in my mouth lol
