Hopefully I didn’t overlook an earlier thread. I don’t usually take pictures of my food, but this one looked pretty good.

It’s a leftover porketta roast sandwich with spinach, onions and aged gouda with a bit of Mayo.

Wow that looks amazing. That better be an iron range porketta recipe or you can’t call it porketta. Kinda like “champagne” or “cognac”

Okay, had an itch and had to scratch it. Rueben with pickles.

Even with the bread out of sight, that Reuben looks mighty fine.

True! That was from Cobb Cook in Hibbing.

Local grill, solid bacon cheeseburger with beer fries. Washed down with a lemonade.

I had my wife’s re-heated Chipotle Leftovers from last night. Not sure why she has to make everything healthy but I know why she didn’t eat most of it. HOT TIP Just enjoy your life every now and then and avoid the Cauliflower Rice at Chipotle. I mean it’s Chipotle, treat yourself. God forbid you actually eat rice. Stay home and eat rabbit food if that’s what you really want, it would be much cheaper! jester

I’m the same way. I live a pretty healthy lifestyle and watch what I eat quite a bit, but I can eat clean on my own. If I’m going to pay money for food at a restaurant or fast-food place I’m getting what I want and what’s fun.

I also think it’s funny that we wage war on foods that are the baseline diet amongst the worlds healthiest cultures. I get that Keto is big and has helped a LOT of people realize their weight loss goals, but jeez it’s a little rice, not a pack of Oreos.

Leftovers! I’m a huge fan of leftovers and for lunch today I have leftovers from take-out from the other night at Peking Cafe in South St. Paul. Great food and I love when they give you extra fortune cookies! mrgreen

Not really lunch but it was lunch time. Double smoked ham, cheesy spuds, canned garden green beans.
Oreo fluff and banana waffer pudding. Also tried something new, bacon wrapped kielbasa seasoned with rub then glazed with a reduced mix of brown sugar and Sharon’s recipe for Billy’s Carmel Apple Pie. Thanks Sharon, they blew everyone away.

I love beef stroganoff, or anything with noodles for that matter. No name steaks are great for stroganoff!

Pictures of these manifestations are making me hungry. I have been WFH for over a year and will continue into the foreseeable future. I get bored home by myself so I go out to lunch periodically.
Yesterday I went to a nearby bar who has generally very good food. Since it was snowing and cold I asked if they had chili. Yep! So I ordered a grilled cheese and chili.
Little did I know there was someone older than 10 who didnt know how to make a grilled cheese sandwich.
What I received was 2 pieces of bread toasted (no butter) and between them were 2 slices of cheese (not melted). LMAO
I didnt say a word, but I about died.
The cook was an old lady and had to know her way around the kitchen. Later, the old man came out of the kitchen with exactly what I just had. Must have thought “dang, what he ordered looked good I am going to have a toast and cheese sandwich and chili too!” LOL
