Looking for some new baselayer underwear. What’s everyone wearing? Anyone tried anything from Duluth Trading?

I bought the boars nest stuff at Duluth Trading in January of February last year and they are great. Hard to justify the msrp price but they should be discounted already or will be soon. Think I might have paid $25 per piece for them on seasonal close out.

I got 3 pair of the Duluth buck naked performance base layers a couple weeks ago. I really like them. Think I paid like $20 a pair on sale

X2 on the Duluth Buck Naked. Bought in December of 2020 and used several times for ice fishing. On sale now for $24.00 each for the tops and bottoms. Duluth Trading has always treated me well.

Under armor makes some good base layer stuff. I use the same base layer for fishing as I do for running. Nike dry fit is also good.

Needs to wick moisture. I can run in below zero and sweat with the UA and Nike stuff and never get cold.Don’t forget good socks, too.

I’d personally look for stuff with merino wool. Not only is it warm and keeps you dry, it doesn’t smell…which is a bonus for hunting, especially if doing Laundry Is not available.

Agree, under armor or Nike pro combat for this guy too.

I don’t wear a base layer. Had to wear it for 49 years at work. I wear fleece lined jeans and my Striker suit and that’s all I need for ice fishing.
My son swears by UA brand. All Duluth products are top notch.

I don’t think the OP was specifically referring to ice fishing. When I responded I certainly wasn’t.

Sorry, but OP didn’t specify. I don’t think he was asking about running either. I’ll keep my opinions to myself from now on gimruis.

Not really relevant to the OP, but I love my fleece-lined/insulated jeans… One of the best simple investments, IMO

I want the one piece Merino Wool suit that Eelpoutguy mentioned but was having trouble finding it. For now I am using the Carhartt Thermal Base Layer Union Suit. I haven’t got cold yet with that in my Striker Hardwater bibs.
