I’ve had good luck with Okuma Convectors (~$110) and Coldwaters (~$130).

I have had good luck with diawa and okuma products. Also scheels line counters are made by Okuma, IIRC

My vote is for Okuma Coldwaters. Had Daiwa Sealines for years and find theM to be pretty low quality.

Okuma coldwaters, about $110 or so online.
    Great reel.
Better drags and linecounters than Convectors. I’ve had many of both, now almost all coldwaters. Have about a dozen for salmon, and 6 for walleye. Still have about 6 Convectors on rods for spares.

For a cheaper real the coldwaters are hard to beat. If you keep an eye out you can sometimes find the shimano tekota a series for 169.00 this is by far my favorite linecounting real.

My vote is for the Okuma Coldwater as well. I have the low profile for walleyes and 300-500 series reels for Salmon.

I’m a big fan of the low profiles for walleye. I do have one cold water with lead, works well.
