I tie all my own flies. I have hundreds of them that will probably never get wet.

I could take some of those off your hands, Steve. Seems a shame they won’t see water. Although I’d probably put them in a tree on my first back cast…

Well let’s go fishing some time. I’ll bring the flies )

Crankbaits with stickbaits being the most. F Raps, Thundersticks, Rogues, Husky Jerks, etc.
I’m pretty well stocked for fall night trolling.😏

To take this a step further, if the answer is crankbaits then for me it’s overwhelmingly firetiger color and it’s not even close.

Amen. I could go two years without buying firetiger anything and still be able to supply all of my friends.

Crankbaits and jigs by far for me, with spinner rigs as a distant third. I’d say I’ve got ~100 flicker shads and another ~150 shad raps in just about every size and color combination made. With each passing year, I fish slightly more aggressively and abandon live bait that much more often. Sure, I could probably lindy rig on a spot with crawlers or minnows and pick off some fish that don’t hit crankbaits…but I could also 3 way or pull leadcore for a couple miles in that timespan and likely up my success.

My fishing motto: Cover water and be willing to leave passive fish for more aggressive ones, while keeping the cooler cold. waytogo

I thought i had a flicker shad problem…got about 80 of em along with plenty of jigs

I must say I really like casting Mann -1 crankbaits – esp the red one.

I assume you are Bass fishing? Try the Blue & Chrome.

I admit it’s pretty fun to go through other people’s tackle to see what toys they have…

Jigs by a wide margin then probably Shad Raps and Husky Jerks. Do red hooks count? They might be #2…

Oh crap, don’t even really know where to start. For everyone that posted that they have a problem…..set your beer down, and accept this – You HAVE ONLY BEGUN!!!!

When my favorite lipless bait was discontinued by Livetarget, I bought the 305 that were in stock with the manufacture, then I tracked down distributors, manufacturers reps….even bought the 80+ sales samples that didn’t have hooks for a total of 600* of them. That’s just one bait, size and color.

To complicate things, I’ve been a DIY guy since late 70s. Make my own jigs, blade baits, flies, and now paint my own cranks. I have over 1500 blade baits ready to rock, couple hundred painted cranks waiting on hooks….

It’s not a problem. It’s a matter of being sufficiently prepared

I really try not to pay attention but I do have a problem with buying alot of plastics. My fly collection keeps getting bigger since I started tying.

Steve, it’s having friends like you that forces me to make so many jester

Damm, this post made me look at the quick stock board I have next to my boat for reloading essential items. Kind of feel like I let it slip to a Gander Mountain status

Jigs by far. It’s what I can afford to buy. Haha

Definitely jigs though… they catch every species of fish. Rapalas & Salmos second.

If a jig + plastic/minnow, OG floater, or rippin rap cant catch it I’m not interested in it.. and my tackle box is stocked accordingly. Cant get enough spinner rigs during mid summer though.
