It would now have to be Jigs for me. But I have a lot of cranks for sure!

Metallic Fireball jigs if you count them but as far as different varieties it’s definitely Husky Jerks

Jigs for me. What do I have the most of that I almost never use? Crankbaits

I make my own jigs. So there’s over 2,000 of them. Ranging form 1/16 to 1-1/2oz and live bait or platics.
Tie my own hair jigs so there’s over 200 of them.
Make my own spinners and i know i have 198 of those.
Crankbaits are stuffed to the brim in about 2 dozen 3700 boxes.
Musky lures are at a count of 145
Make my own casting spoons and there’s a 100 of them.
Jigging raps i feel low if i have less than 50 (all size 9)
Blade baits i do a mix of make/buy and there’s minimum 300 in the boat.
Plastics i have a 20# box in the boat.
Walleye Flies are numbered somewhere over 200
Flathead catfish jigs i make my own and there’s a 3700 box of them.
Flathead hooks have their own box too.
Channel cats get their own 3700 box.
Channel cat trolling gets its own 3700 box.
Make my own weights so there’s minimum 30# in the boat and up to 70# sitting around at home in various places.
Slender spoons i like minimum 30 on hand.
Poppers get their own 3700 box.
    Sturgeon gets a box.
I might use a bobber once, maybe twice a year. Probably a total of 30 minutes…unless you count shark bobbers and flathead sized baits.

I’m sure i’m missing quite a few. Boxes get shuffled in and out of the boat depending on the day. Can be daunting picking which lure to tie on!

I tend to not jump into others boats because i have too much tackle to grab. Same reason why i ask others not to bring lures into my boat…Already enough.

What gets used the most. I suppose November through March i’m almost 100% plastics for walleye. The other months i vary species and tactics greatly. So probably a 3/16 or 1/4 oz jig with an authentix gets the most use.

    Yeah I’ve got a problem.

That’s an easy one for panfish, jigs. Overall would be hard body baits but if you break the hard body baits into different categories (surface, crank, twitch, jerk, lipless, sinking, floating…) it would be blade baits (inline and safety pin).

I have the same problem fish blood. I make many different types of baits and when I find a sale I can’t resist buying more. I am in a 12 step program for this. I have to take 12 steps to look thru the line of tackle boxes and decide what to take with me that day. redface

Bass plastics. I’ve raided many a bargain bin and exploited many a sale over the years, now I have just about enough plastics to last a decade or two.

I tie all my own flies. I have hundreds of them that will probably never get wet.

If going by count, probably close to a tie between jigs and plastics for said jigs.

If going by space they take up crankbaits/jerkbaits by a long shot

Jigs/plastics. I make them both. No live bait for this guy. Except for an occasional golden rod grub in the early winter before the water freezes up.

To take this a step further, if the answer is crankbaits then for me it’s overwhelmingly firetiger color and it’s not even close.

Amen. I could go two years without buying firetiger anything and still be able to supply all of my friends.

Crankbaits and jigs by far for me, with spinner rigs as a distant third. I’d say I’ve got ~100 flicker shads and another ~150 shad raps in just about every size and color combination made. With each passing year, I fish slightly more aggressively and abandon live bait that much more often. Sure, I could probably lindy rig on a spot with crawlers or minnows and pick off some fish that don’t hit crankbaits…but I could also 3 way or pull leadcore for a couple miles in that timespan and likely up my success.

My fishing motto: Cover water and be willing to leave passive fish for more aggressive ones, while keeping the cooler cold. waytogo

I could take some of those off your hands, Steve. Seems a shame they won’t see water. Although I’d probably put them in a tree on my first back cast…

Its not a bad idea to lay out all of your tackle and take a picture of it for insurance reasons.
