    Hi there.

Looking for opinions on size of baitfeeder for a 32-36 inch deadstick and a 36inch jigging rod. Will be mainly fishing for walleye in 30’ of water or less.

    Thanks for opinions.

    Cheers

500 or 1000. Either will work well. I put a couple 1000 on my 36 inch tucr deadsticks and they work well. I felt the 500 for a longer rod was just a hair small for my liking. But both will work fine

Im not sure if this applies to the Ceymars, but I just bought some Okuma Avengers BF’s and I put the 500 & 1000 side by side and the body size seemed identical. The spool was smaller on the 500 so I chose the 1000. I’d rather have higher line capacity with everything else being equal. Caught pike on it on Friday combined with Finicky Fooler. It was everything I hoped it would be. Very happy with both. I was set to order the 500 sight unseen and I’m glad I did the comparison.

It works really well on dead sticks. No need on jigging rod

I’m running the 1000 Ceymar on the TUCR dead stick. Nice paring. Not quite the slow load up as I was expecting but with the feeder it works well.

I have a 500 Avenger on my Jt Walleye snare.

As mentioned bait feeders on dead sticks are awesome!

The profiles of the 2 sizes are the same. the spool size is the difference.
    The 500: 2/165/4/85 6/65.
    The 1000: 2/280 4/140 6/110.

I am running 4lb Flouro on the 500 for crappies/bonus walleye and 6lb for walleyes.

If you are choosing one, go with the 1000 so you options. You can always using backing for lighter test line.
