So with christmas coming up the family is making me make a christmas list. What better than not having to buy a nice ice rod for myself. Currently I have a 32 inch Precision and a 30 inch precision noodle with an inch cut off. I have a shack I fish in but also fish outside so probably splitting my time 50/50. I fish for more gills/crappies/perch but was thinking about starting to try to jig for walleyes here in wisconsin although that is not all that great in the northwoods. I was going to try to make a trip to Erie this year too. As of now I was leaning towards maybe a bullwhip.

I would love everyones opinion on what to ask for because Im at kind of a loss on what would be a good next rod. If you could pick two what would they be?

I would go with the quick tip it’s an all around rod sensitive enough for the perch bite and the back bone is strong enough to fish for walleyes

I agree. It’s strong enough for those occasional snot rockets also. I went from one week of catching 14 inch sodak perch and 30 inch northerns to catching 5 inch perch at Brainerd ice extravaganza with the same rod and jig ( wonderbread by brantner ). Crappies also on that rod. The feel is amazing. I prefer the split grips, incase I need any extra sensitivity I just remove a glove and feel the blank on the split.
A bullwhip would get my second vote.

I just got the Percision but after holding the commander that’s the rod I would go with its such a nice rod . I know it’s a little heavy but the feel of it is unreal that’s my next one
