    Hello,

I just picked up a ‘new to me’ 2001 Pro V 1800 but the stock prop is pretty dinged up. It has a 2001 Mercury 150 Optimax. I am looking for a stainless prop as a replacement for the original. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

19 pitch Mercury Tempest Plus if you want/need bow lift and speed. 17 pitch Mercury Rev 4 if you have heavier loads and need more stern lift and low planing speed.

The “stock” prop is a 21 pitch. I don’t have any problem getting on plane, but bow lift is a little less than desirable but not terrible. I like bow lift and the extra speed, my old ranger’s bow would feel like it was sky high when you had it taped wide open and trimmed up and that ol’ girl would cut through choppy waters and wakes really well.

What diameter is your current prop? I have a 21 tempest plus you can demo. Just need the merc hub.

I believe it is a 14.25″. I’ll have to check tonight when I get home to see what it is for sure.
