I am hoping to hit the river tomorrow for a few hours in the morning. In addition to jigs a plastics, I am thinking of giving jerk baits a try. I am pointed in the right direction? Having said that I am a nube at this. What is your favorite jerk bait? I also think smaller profile is probably going to be a better bet right now.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    TIA

My personal favorite is the RC Stx. Had some really good luck throwing them on P2 in the spring. Anything that suspends could work well though, just fish em slow!

I agree. Suspending and work very slow. Take a nap slow. Crank three times and count to 5. Even at that Im working them faster than some guys in my boat. As far as size go big. Think I would take a 12 over a 10. Even 14s can be good. Got a good sized musky crank? Give that a try.

Give them a shot on spots you have caught walleyes before. Shallow rocks seem to work well. If you miss a fish on a plastic throw the stick bait in there to see what happens. Nice to have the stick baits on a separate rod for switching things up real quick.

    Work them slow.
