This is my favorite photo I have ever taken. I look at it often and try to figure out why it is my favorite. It was a good capture and the colors pop and the clarity is awesome but those are only the technical reasons why I love this photo.

First off when I look at this photo I smile. The angler in the photo is Frank.

Len, I understand it completely. Its hard to translate to words. But it clearly illustrates that we are only a small fragment of a much larger and very complex world. There are special places to people for a variety of reasons. One great pic that puts it into perspective can easily stop someone in their tracks and have them mentally escape to that magical place.
    Beautiful pic Len

Here’s one of those places. Nothing special technically about the pic, just a snap shot. But at about 9,000 feet up in the mountains, here is the head of a mountain stream. Above this, water is just coming out of the ground. We catch plenty of 14-20″ trout in this little pool. How do they survive the winters up here and the massive run-off in the Spring. But it is a place of solitude that I can escape to and enjoy the vast world as if no one else exists.

Len, I look forward to your new blog posts. Just cracked open the September issue of Midwest Outdoors and began reading an article about the “ex-fishing guide”. After the first paragraph, I thought something seemed familiar, I had already read those words on your blog. Nonetheless, I read it again because I remember how good a read it was. Keep up the blog, I thoroughly enjoy reading it.
