I’m thinkin a green sunfish
certainly doesn’t look like a whitetail to me but I know obviously it’s a deer of some sort. Not sure how someone could be so lonely or bored to make a dumb comment like that. I don’t come to this forum for comedy so if you can’t be helpful maybe just don’t say anything. Only a fool speaks when he has nothing to say.
Educated guess? Melanistic European Roe deer. Probably a deer farm/petting zoo escapee. Any of those in the area?

not that I’m aware of
I think he meant Sika Deer, like the ones around Chesapeake Bay. They can look just like that too in their dark brown winter coat
I mean…case closed right?

id say thank you
Looks like a deer farm escapee. They evidently need to bring in Ted Nugent to control the fenced in population
Come for the content, stay for the comedy.
If ya need a hug this weekend pitter man I’m around, a nice warm embrace will turn that frown upside down.
For sure a Green Sunfish.
Btw pitter, it’s a long standing forum joke…
Beads’ warm embraces are things of legends, take him up on his offer.
Is that right?
my apologies, I sometimes lack a sense of humor and that is sorely lacking in todays world. If I’m going to get that annoyed with social media I shouldn’t be on it. I immediately took your response as poking fun, and maybe you were, but I was wrong to say what I said. I didn’t look up the deer online or check for local game farms because I do most of my research here. I like this group and lean on it a lot so thank you all for your help with identifying it. Sure was a sight. Again I’m sorry for being short with you
PP, for a minute there I thought you were one of my X’s.
Then you apologized and I instantly knew that couldn’t be the case.
It could be an elk in that area but the color isn’t quite right. I am about 40 miles north and elk have been spotted here
I’m surprised that no one caught it. Zoom in close. It’s obviously a snook.

Humor is optional here…thick skin is not.

Saw one of your ex’s Monday night fly past the house. Still surprised marking lights aren’t required by the FFA on brooms.

Ya, I paid for that broom.
