Just seeing what people do to pass some time between bites? I enjoy a little 654 or cribbage.
There have been times in the past that I have taken”Sno-boat”rides on the ice when windy.Sometimes intentionally and other times not.And watch others play chase the hub.
I take short quick naps and then tell the kids I was long blinking or just resting my eyes quick. Its a pretty fun game I made up
Just taught my 10yr old cribbage 2 weekends ago. That’s probably the most common game we play. I like dice, but that’s kind of a deer camp thing for $$$. Phase 10, Skip-Bo, & Uno are the ones we have in the “game box” in the shack.
We play “in between”. You aren’t allowed in the shack/cabin unless you have $20 in quarters and a back up wad of cash.
I just got back from LOW with a buddy and we played bags outside. It was fun trying to play the wind!
We also played the old basketball game, Pig inside with Netflix guns. We had to ricochet them off whatever and into a 5 gallon pail. It was pretty funny.
just resting my eyes
Lol my old man has said that to me for 30 years.
I always play “stare at the flasher until I go insane”.
I play a similar game with my flasher, but I also do this thing where I move my bait up and down hoping to attract a fish.
good times!
The only game I play is; Which one of the 300 jigs in my boxes, do the fish want?
Farkel, various dice games, cribbage, 31.
When I was growing up, the men used to play acey-deucey, which is a variant of backgammon. They taught me to play, but now I do not recall how it goes.

I’m too busy catching fish…..what’s wrong with you guys?
That’s kinda what I was thinking too but I’m glad you brought it up, not me.

five days on the ice you gotta get up and move around a bit!
Everybody throws money in the Kitty.
When you catch a fish you card a card.
At the end of the day, the person with the best poker hand wins the pot.
“Catch the Wife” but I never win. 🥺
At least you have a chance…..I don’t think my wife has ever been in an ice shack.

But if you were FBRM, my response would be
I play a fun one called “renting a permanent” where I spend a bunch of money and drive hundreds of miles, don’t catch a single fish, and wake up sunday with a hangover. It’s actually pretty fun, but I have awful luck in rental shacks.

Didn’t your mother tell you to stay away from fast women?

I stay kinda busy on the ice when fish arent around and often spend multiple days in a row in my portable. I do alot of camp cooking. Fish fries, chili, steaks, bacon, etc
Just bought a flex cooker.
A pc game I play has a mobile port that I play alot on the ice. Overnight trips I do audio books and my libertarian podcasts or old music. I like old movies, always looking for hidden gems. Sometimes watch those on my phone and dumb youtube videos. Thinking about bringing the laptop.
Sometimes I screw with an underwater camera. Getting the cable orientated without a panner can take awhile to perfect.
Drink alot of coffee. Pee alot. Repeat.
I like my life.
I play this game where I sit on the ice as long as I can to see how it takes to get a text from the wife saying something along the line of “where the F are you?” Then I go home

X2 I got one on Saturday that said “you’ve been out there all day, when are you coming home”
Did she send that around noon? I typically get an “all day” tag on mine after 4 hrs on the ice!
