At 9′ it is already 5-6′ above normal pool. Although normal pool has been a distant memory the last few years.
March 29, 2020 at 10:29 am #1928533Shows 14.1 an raising this morning. . . I think all ramps are open now. Not 100% sure about bay point? Drove by there a couple days ago it was mostly all open then. What ice was left was all black an looked like it was really thin. I would guess that its open now.?

Yep higher water has been definitely the new normal! I would say 6 is the new 4! Less dredging that way.
March 29, 2020 at 12:05 pm #1928604I was thinking about heading down Tuesday to get out of the house. We didn’t need this rain the last couple of days, I’ll have to see where we are for flow then.
March 29, 2020 at 6:22 pm #1928741Fishing has been decent to only get better but everyone please stay home so I can have all my favorite spots to myself
GordioPosts: 98March 29, 2020 at 9:58 pm #1928828Love the high water! lets you get back into places you usually feel aprehensive about trying. we certainly didn’t need the recent rain but it is the new norm so time to adapt or stay home which I hope many will do.
March 30, 2020 at 9:22 am #1928903Bay Point along with all other ramps are open.
I had a report that the back channel ramps had rigs 1/2 down to the Woodshed this Monday morning. I’ve seen a lot of traffic coming through Red Wing so I have to believe there’s a good number of people out.
Most don’t know that Bay Point is open so that would be my ramp of choice today. No dock at Bay Point or Coleville at this time.
Good Luck Folks and remember your PFD’s.
Boat registration
AND the no wake zones.March 31, 2020 at 2:57 pm #1929419At what point did they close everything down last year? (Everts, back channel ramp, ETC) 14ft?

AND the no wake zones.Brian there is one dock in at colvill as of 2 days ago and man was it slick in the morning! Be careful if you use it!
April 1, 2020 at 9:49 am #1929629Yes, I noticed that yesterday.
By the forecast, the ramps will be closing in the next two days due to high water.
PS EVERYONE knows that Bay Point is open now!
Rigs were parked across the road yesterday.Lots of boats fishing at Hay Creek and First Cut hand a good number as well. There must of been a fishton up at the dam!

I didn’t see your message earlier.
Bay Point and Coleville will close right around 13.5
By the looks of the back channel, they will be closing soon, possibly today.Who knows about the other ramp you mentioned. It’s changes daily.
David NorgrenPosts: 2April 8, 2020 at 12:13 pm #1932007I used Bay Point Access Yesterday, 4/7/20. They do have docks in the water. I don’t know when or if they will close. The lot was nearly full when I left the river at around 3:30 PM.
At 7:15 AM the National Weather Service was reading the Red Wing Hydro meter at 13.03′ which is about a foot below food stage. As of 10:00 AM today its reading 12.88′.
April 8, 2020 at 12:28 pm #1932012It was a gorgeous night out there last night! Took awhile to dial them in, but ended up with a half dozen all on plastics. This 23”er was the biggest and lived to see 30”s some day.
