I’ve recently been listening to Sirius XM “Comedy Greats”

Carlin, Dangerfield, Prior, Cook, Fox, Lewis, Clay, Murphy, Black, Poundstone, Rickles etc…. The list goes on and on

Hilarious, BUT comedians today cannot say what these guys said.
These guys are hilarious because they simply talked about what is true, from their perspective.

Political correctness. roll not a fan for many reasons.

Carlin was fantastic! Ever hear his bit about “my kid’s a honor roll student”? Classic!

Daniel tosh is hilarious. So is Kevin hart and many others. I enjoy edgy comics who offend people. I tend to find that stuff pretty funny

I miss the old standup where nothing was off the table. They made fun of everything.

Seems to me that the old parental advice I received as a child is no longer being taught. “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”. Today it’s let’s throw sticks and stones the minute I hear a word that hurts my feelings. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Radio is dead. These guys are the St Cloud rocking 101 morning show that left radio due to cancel culture and started their own thing on twitch. You can listen for free live without an account, or you can create an account and subscribe ($6/month) you can watch previous shows. Disclaimer: it is uncensored, and can be raw sometimes. Mixture of wiener jokes and news. No music, or commercials. You must have a sense of humor.

Could not disagree more EPG. Have you listened/watched the latest from Chapelle, Rogan, Mark Normand, Andrew Schulz, Bert Kreischer, Joey Diaz, Ari Shaffir, Nikki Glaser, among others? Now is the best time ever for comedy imo, a ton of great comedians and a lot of easy distribution channels like Netflix, YouTube, and Podcasts in addition to the traditional avenues. Mark Normand’s YouTube special and Andrew Schulz’s Netflix special in particular are some of the funniest most irreverent comedy I’ve seen in ages.

I agree with Big Werm, Jim Jefferies, Anthony Jeselnik, Ricky Gervais, Bill Burr, WHitney Cummings, and a whole bunch of other comedians are pushing back against the PC culture.

Man here I was thinking in modern comedy they really push the envelope. I suggest giving Tom Segura a listen along with the others mentioned. Patrice O’neal was one of the greatest too, Bill Burr is excellent, so many great comics.

If you’re interested in outright offensive AND hilarious check out the legion of Skanks podcast, hosted by Lewis J Gomez, Dave Smith and Big Jay Oakerson.

There are rules to what’s sociology acceptable for jokes without crossing the line.
A person can make jokes if they are directly involved in whatever the joke is about. A fat person can make fat jokes. A gay person can make gay jokes.

So the other day there were these two pedophiles in the park…
