I used to guzzle milk, I’m talking gallons through my youth and up until college.

Like EPG, I can’t remember the last time I had a glass of milk. I like it, but it’s hard on my gut. The kids drink a ton of it but my wife and I don’t go beyond using it for some cooking.

If another avocado never grew again I would be OK with that. And all you raw fish eating nuts, you can have that s^*t too. Prime rib, rib eyes, smoked brisket, roast beef, etc is where I hang my hat.

You ever try sushi? Or at least a rare tuna steak? I prefer it over red meat now. Better for you and doesn’t leave me feeling so full I wanna puke. Probably only eat red meat once a month now.

Straight out of the cow, and also the tank. Talk about whole milk…

Must be the farm kid in me because I’ve drank milk my whole life and love it. I actually get anxiety thinking about if we ran out and I couldn’t have it for supper.

I like about everything and will eat too much of anything if it’s in front of me… I’m not a candy guy, but baked goods are my nemesis. Holidays are the worst, I’ll plow through cookies like it’s nobody’s business.

But as far as stuff not a lot of other people like. SPAM is a big one, for me. Cold, fried – doesn’t matter, I’ll house a block of that before my wife can say “You’re disgusting!”

As far as “less” than the average person…

I haven’t consumed a soda by itself of any type in probably 7 or 8 years. I’ll defnitely mix 7-up with some Crown on the tritoon in the summer or in a mug at a game, but for the most part soda wreaks havoc on my stomach. We never had it around growing up, so that and all the energy drink stuff are not ever a consideration for me.

I do make up for it with beer consumption though…or will once I get through this “dry January” thing toast

Lately it has been pickles, usually baby dills, I go through 2-3 jars a week.

You know what they say about craving pickles. You could be pregnant?

    Horseradish recipe:

I can’t stand the stuff. Brings tears to my eyes.
My Dad used to make it or should I say, had me make it, at least the grinding part.

We’d dig horseradish roots, a lot of em. Finding them these days might be tough but we found them on the edges of corn fields on my uncle’s land.
Wash em, peel em or scrub very hard if not peeled.
We put em through a grinder. Holy hell on my eyes!
    Then add:
Vinegar, sugar and a little salt.
Liquid should cover the ground horseradish.
He added either sweetened condensed milk or evaporated milk, can’t remember which on, to keep it the white color.
Wait a few days and dig in.
I can still smell the stuff.
He ate it straight out of the jar sometimes.

I eat a ton of popcorn, At least a handful a day. Air popped, Light butter, and some sea salt. Make a few gallon ziplock bags every week for the family.

Second would be beef sticks. Always grab them on the way into work, or have them on hand at the house.

My wife and sisters were just talking about avocados at Christmas.

Any of your sisters single? Asking for the bachelors on here, and depending on which way the wind is blowing, EPG. rotflol jester rotflol

Braunschweiger and pickled fish are favorites of mine, that my wife hates, but I eat fairly regularly and more often than most. We buy eggs by the 5 dozen crates at Costco, and 2-3 gallons of milk a week, those are both 4 person family efforts.

Put me on team Sushi as well. EPG have you been to Billy Sushi in MSP? That’s the best I’ve had in MN. Sake Sushi in Chaska is good (not great) and has an awesome happy hour every day. Kai’s Sushi in Chan is even better, but pricier.

Stovetop popcorn. Kids have that multiple times a week. We eat a lot of venison as well.

Sounds like a traumatic experience Haleys! Thanks for the recipe. I’ll have to look up to see what the foliage looks like and when to get at it. We have cropland down your general direction and plenty of edges to walk. Maybe I’ll be cured of my taste for the stuff. jester toast

I’m with you on that werm. Braunschweiger, raw onion and horseradish sandos sound mint. Side effects may be heartburn, house clearing gas and eventually heart disease. lol

I fell in love with Sushi when living on Maui… had Poke bowls at least 2 times a week. Hard to find good sushi or any poke around here… you could get it right in the supermarkets made fresh all day. Morey’s has it but its not that good.

I believe myself and all my cousins still have eye damage to this day from having to grind horseradish as kids at our grandparents house. No goggles used in those days. Us kids would have to take turns running up to the grinder and filling it and cranking it. We would all end up looking like we had been sprayed with the best police mace there is. I still don’t know how we did not end up going blind from all we had to grind. My grandparents would eat it on everything. Full German

Yeah 2nd the poke bowls. Sushi is a pita to make at home but a poke bowl is easy. I get the 1$ microwave sticky rice bowls from walmart and mix up some spicy mayo and tuna and crab and the only real problem then is having ripe avacados around. I get little seaweed packs from Amazon that you just put a little sesame oil and rice vinegar in to make the seaweed salad. I have avacados on my list today for this specific reason.

I’m going to go with scratch made food. We probably eat at a restaurant or fast food once every 2-3 months or so. We eat 2-3 eggs each almost every day. Pickled red onions are a staple nowadays. I use a stick blender and make “refried” beans out of canned pinto or black beans that I season. I don’t even cook it. We eat it at least 3-4 times a week. Since I’ve been known to have beer instead of having supper about once a week, beer may qualify as food for me.

It would be more weird seeing a cheetah drinking milk from a giraffe jester

When I was a kid I LOVED milk, probably drank more than I did water. Also remember pouring cups in the milk room fresh from the bulktank (I could drink as much as I wanted)

Nowadays, I still like it. But it hates me jester

I’ll have some once in awhile, but there better be a bathroom within 100 yards.

Humans are also the only species that has domesticated other animals. Unless you have conquered this step accessing milk from another species is quite challenging.
