very exciting game. obviously a disappointing finish. I expect to see Dan Bailey getting off a plane in Minneapolis tomorrow. These calls on hits are a joke. getting hard to watch

Reports are that Bailey has been turning down offers. He may not sign anywhere. Vikings would be a good place to sign though as they are pretty much a lock for the playoffs.

    That didn’t take long….

thank god we acted and got a reliable kicker for once. Kudos to Ziggy and management for recognizing that we have a window here and we shouldn’t let a kicker and saving a few million bucks blow our chances.

I really do feel for the kicker though, end your career with that really sucks.

Almost unbelievable that Bailey was available. What gives with that?

OK, and one more “on the bright side” comment: Cousins. He is who we thought he is. Despite a screwy game where the rest of the team basically played down to Green Bay’s level, Cousins was the first, second, and third star of the game.

Also, this is one little piece of possible good news in the middle of a whole lot of bad news in terms of performance out there.

The Vikes still have issues with…

    Butterfingers Treadwell.

The defensive secondary giving up easy first down passes on key 3rd downs.

The Vikes need to get thier sh!t together this week and come out like professionals. No more early season excuses, it’s game 3.

Dallas had to re-sign several of their stud lineman this past offseason, Bailey’s salary was huge plus he’s been hurt several times the past few seasons…those are the only negatives I could find…I had him on my fantasy teams the past several years, he was always money…

I’ll say this, the Vikings Management sure doesn’t wait long to solve a problem…Even though we tied yesterday, i’m really happy with how the team looked! That comeback will go a long ways in building confidence with this team moving forward! Skol Vikes!

Reporter: “Hey Coach Zimmer what led to cutting kicker Daniel Carlson today?”

Zim: “Did you see the game?” rotflol Gotta love Zimmer, he doesn’t sugar coat it.

Alexander and Treadwell are the weak links on defense and offense, the good thing is that they are non-starters so their negative impact should be minimal (unless we start getting injuries)… Zimmer will watch back the tape and hopefully get Alexander straightened out, he was looking clueless in coverage…Treadwell is just an enigma for me…he was a great college WR but now he’s goofy up on basic WR skills, the only thing keeping him from getting cut is that he’s a really good down field blocker for Cook, Diggs and Theilen.. wow how about the combo of moves Diggs put on for that 2-pt conversion play…just sick!

Yeah, he put that DB in the blender! How many top draft picks have GB spent on DB’s the last couple years? And they just gave up 425 passing yards total, 259 just to Diggs and Thielen.

    Takeaways

-Treadwell lost that game for us. I would like to see our other receivers out there ahead of him unless he is in there blocking for a run
-Our defense reminded me of the old days where the longer your third down was the greater your chances were of completing it. I feel like we need some nasty on our team. Our defense is very talented but it seems soft. Even when we are playing well they don’t seem to strike fear in the opponent
-Kirk Cousins is the real deal! His accuracy and poise is incredible. Regardless of what happens with our team im confident that moving forward we finally have a good QB. Thats worth a lot to a Vikings fan
-Dan Bailey should be a massive improvement but keep in mind last year he had his worst season and he has had some recent injuries. Lets hope he is healthy and can get back to being elite. Anything is better than what we have had recently.

Yeah, he sure smoked that 35 year old DB! Williams should be playing games like cribbage and dominos, not pro football.

GB’s defensive backs aren’t as bad as they have been the last few years –Alexander, King, Jackson, and Brice should all be serviceable pros, but they’re still young & green. The veterans House and Williams are slllllow. Williams is still smart but has no chance against a guy like Diggs. HaHa gets worse every game (even Treadwell could’ve caught that pic. Couldn’t handle the pass, but the tip, no prob jester )

What does that say about your front office, when you’re playing a 35 year old DB on the games biggest play, and Undrafted Kentrell Brice getting significant minutes. When they drafted 8 Defensive backs since 2014!?!? Including 4 in the first two rounds of the last 2 drafts. I feel bad for Rodgers, and the terrible talent he’s had around him.

    Brice is gonna be good.

But you’re preaching to the choir, mostly. You know how I feel about GB’s front office.

That said, the punter they drafted this year is working out better than the kicker Rick drafted mrgreen

True, but one thing I give Spielman credit for is he is not afraid to dump bad draft picks. Dan Bailey, in the house!
