Ours are kinda lame. We have a 7 yr old and 3 yr old and we are staying home. Probably watch some of the NYE stuff on TV, make some food, and pop a bottle of champagne (hoping to make it until the NY ball drop).

We are, however, getting up at 4am on Jan 2nd and leaving for Florida for a few days kid-free in the sun! grin

Watch the 4 remaining episodes of The Mandalorian and then go to bed. And you thought yours was lame!

FW just unloaded the kids at my folks house. Meeting her for a movie after work and then a small get together at a friends place. 8 of us with some drinks and board games.

Stay safe and enjoy the night everyone.

Probably watch Letterkenny with the FW and get my liver ready for the Outback Bowl tomorrow. Maybe get out fishing this evening if I’m lucky.

My 14 yo daughter is having a few friends over, so we have teen girl squad at my place. Less than ideal, but she’s excited. I have some holdover fireworks that I’ll probably set off that’ll look great with the fresh snow. I’m getting up early and heading out fishing, so it’ll be fireworks at 10, then hopefully to bed.

Lobster, King Crab, Jumbo Shrimp and some home brews with the wife and 3 other couples are all on the menu.

Our routine rotates between houses each year…no bars, restaurants, or driving more than a few miles. I haven’t “went out” for New Years since my early 20’s and have no intentions of doing it ever again.

Rookie Night? Hunker down, burn some wood in the fireplace. Watch some TV. Toss something on the grill for dinner. Couple of cold ones. Maybe break out the bourbon. Lucky if I’m still up at 11. sleeping

Happy New Year Everyone ! toast

3.5 year old, 2 year old (tomorrow), 4 month old… hopefully I am a few hours into deep sleep at midnight and so are all the kids.

Middle aged one’s birthday is January 1st. So I do have dreams of creating some family tradition each year where we ring in the new year/birthday in an ice house! And I have nightmares about what New Years will be like for him in his late teens and early 20s..

Having a few beverages, watch the tube, cook some Ribeyes over charcoal, momma’s cooking z lobster tail, with taters . I’m sure we won’t see 11 pm.

Was thinking of hitting a pub for a couple this afternoon but nixed that.

Tenderloin, small lobster tails and shrimp. Well, the ladies are having tenderloin, I opted for NY strip.

Drink some angry balls and see how late we make it. We kind of have to stay up until midnight because fireworks little Apollo freaks out with loud bangs.

We’re in for the night. Roasting some potatoes and fixing a meat dish using venison tenderloin medallions. Ma made this a while ago and it was something else so we’ll do it again tonight. Maybe have a beer, but more likely just ginger ale. We have a pile of movies and are happy to lay low on this holiday.

Stay safe everyone and Happy New Year!

Just got back from taking our 4yo daughter ice skating for the first time ever. I took the hardest spill so we’ll call this a win.

Now, to our local pizza joint in S MPLS for a couple beers and a pie. Get up early and workout and then settle in for the gophers game tomorrow.

    Happy New Year to everyone.

Going to the bar and getting hammered until close, then probably taking home some random over served gal? She’ll probably be a 4 but by midnight definitely a 9! waytogo

Nothing. Haven’t celebrated New Years since my early 20s. I like to party but never saw the appeal of New Years and it ain’t worth going out to some crowded bar and risk the roads

We ended up hanging by the neighbors fire until 3am. Today was a waste of a day off. I don’t know how I stayed up late as a youngster.
