Can anyone confirm that the Otter Lodge will even look different in 2015? Don’t expect pictures but would be nice to know if they are changing things up. I purchased the XT1200 Lodge in March on clearance. Somebody give us some hints )

yeah this is news to me! i have been in the market for an otter lodge for a few years and finally decided this is the year i will be pulling the trigger but a new product makes me feel slightly nervous, although i generally trust that otter will put out a quality product. I would be curious to hear more about this. Where did you fellas here that otter was putting out a new fish house design in 2015?

Yes, Otter has quite a few new releases coming in 2015. They’re releasing a new “skin” material called Thermal-Tec. They will be releasing a line of hub-style houses and they will be adding a new light-weight one man called the Hideout. All flip over houses will be full thermal. So there’s lots of new things coming this winter.

Hub style you say. Hope they have a thermal skin and windows lower than clam.

Can you tell us if the Otter Lodge will have the thermal-tec material? If not, I understand. I’m sure they don’t want everything out of the bag. Looking forward to the one man also. Thanks for info you’ve given.

All houses will use the Thermal-Tec skin.

Sweet, I’m glad I didn’t get the 1660 last season. When will we know sizes? I’m building a run-n-gun rig this summer and everything is sized for a hub house.

Will Otter be using the same Pro sleep as the XT1200 next year or will they have a new sled design? Was justing going to get the slides and hitch this summer if same sled?

The dimensions of the sleds will be unchanged.

Thanks, I will read between the lines and wait to get the hitch and slides. Would hate to have some thing and not have it fit the new lodge.

All existing accessories, including the hitch and slides, will work on the new houses.

Will Otter or other manufacturers be offering the side entry design used by a few Frabil’s? What has the feedback been for that design? I’m tired of navigating over/around my holes, camera, flasher when trying to get out…

Of corse they would come out with a one man flip over right after I just bought a cabin I would rather keep my setup simple for the way I fish

Oh by chance is there any hint of a release date…? I know I’m asking for a lot and probably an oct/nov thing but any hit would be nice D

Just a guess but I think it safe to say they’ll start making appearances at retail locations LATE summer / early fall. Late September arrival should be in the ballpark. But that’s just a guess based on arrival of new products from Otter in previous years.

This proves my theory ice fishing is an addiction… because now I need that new thermal one man D and I will happily pick it up in the middle of summer if allowed whistling

I don’t suspect you’ll see them in stores until mid October! I know I have several shows I’m working this fall and hope to have demos with. Always stinks working a product line when you don’t have time into them yet. From what I’m gathering and have been told I bet the 2015 live will sell out fast.

What kind of price is the otter 1200 you think on clearance. What were they selling for at MN Ice show last year. That seems to be best place to purchase.

Last year I could’ve gotten the XT1200 Lodge from Reeds at the Ice show for $850 plus tax. That included the shelter, cover, hifax, hitch, and the center console. I found one on clearance at L&M Fleet on clearance for $599 plus tax. With accessories at 25% off my total came in at just under $750. Smoking deal since I sold my three year old XT900 Lodge for $725.

Any new pictures or links yet. This is about the time I start thinking about ice fishing and can’t get it off the brain till I take that first step on the frozen water.
