    The tail makes we want to say it an otter….is there water nearby? In another picture it looks almost like a marten, not a pine marten, a standard sized marten.

    My first thought was fisher also.
    I tell ya, I was at a animal farm where a guy raised Fishers. I would rather go into a cage with 2 hungry lions before I went in a cage with one Fisher.

    Fisher or marten. My son was in his deer stand about 100 yards from me last year on opener. I get a text from him just about legal shooting hours and he says “are there wolverines here? I think I saw one and its coming your way” I told him not likely.
    10 minutes later I hear something and here comes a fisher, so I snapped a pick of it and asked him if that was the “wolverine” he saw LOL.
