Spent the day north of Mora with Todders checking cameras and shooting bows. What a great day to be outside!!!! The creeks and rivers look more like May instead of September. Holy wet up there. Everything is super green. Lots of foliage. Found some really good deer trails I can’t wait to sit over.

You aint kidding. I saw water over many side roads this weekend up north. Rivers and creeks were raging. Saw 5.5 inches in the rain gauge.

Noticed the same thing heading north on 65 on Sunday. Creeks over the banks. Ditches flooded. Fished long lake up in Aitkin and there was water running across the road driving to the landing. Many docks under water and floating.

Starting to think my late summer, fall fishing on the river up north might be shot for the season.

Got 4 inches of rain in the gauge at the cabin on Big Point last week. Mille Lacs is up to the bottom of the docs again! All of the ditches and swamps are full too. Bumper crop of frogs this year.

FULL. The docks were floating at Todders’ cabin. The fire pit was under water the night before I guess.

Yes, was up to my property this weekend and everything that wasn’t overturned is full of water. Great for the food plots! Holy cow, I’ll bet the plots grew 2 inches last week. Which is good considering frost is in the forecast for Friday. Ug!

But if this keeps up, ya’ better bring the knee or hip boots for deer hunting. If you have to cross creeks or low ground, there’s going to be plenty of water.

I guess I’d rather deal with too wet rather than too dry. I have mainly high ground on my property except for the creek, so having rain doesn’t really change anything for me. Most of my place was damp, but things dry out pretty quickly.
