West side pike?

Looking at a day trip to chase some flags. It’s been many moons since I have been on the pond, and from what I recall, Vineland bay had some cabbage about 20 yrs ago….i know the lake has changed a lot, but is that still a viable area to successfully chase a pike? Or any suggestions for a better general area? Would like to put the boy on a spot where he has a fair chance at a decent fish.

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks all! I appreciate the replies. Like i said – its probably 22-23 yrs since i have been down there on the west side, and the memory is foggy….lol

Is the casino landing the closest public access spot? Traveling via sled/otter.

With the fresh crack from yesterday, it may be wise to spend the $10 & go out of a resort. Just my 2 cents..

Or else come out from twilight road. Just before the river you cross on 169. That’s where I usually come/go. Just stay away from the river once on the ice. I’ll send you a place to start when I get my GPS out of my truck in a little bit.

Isle Bay has pike action too but there will likely be more activity there as people chase perch/panfish on that bay regularly.

Thanks again to all for the help. Report as promised: We had a fun day, fishing was really slow, with only one pike coming topside (7lbs), but the weather was nice and we had fun.
