    Great, and I mean GREAT episode! Joel was mighty impressive! Joel reminds me of a friend that wanted to start his own fishing show targeting larger bluegills and I’m sad to say, this is the only clip that made it to publication. Perhaps the wrong body of water.

    No kidding. At 8:15 I realize the tv wasn’t working in the bait shop.

    I took it out on the minnows.

    Why does it say episode 5? Where is 3 and 4?

    @JoelNelson

    I’ve noticed now in two separate episodes that you have gone back to the older style flasher, an LX5 I believe instead of the LX6 or 7 you had been using. What gives? Why go backwards?

    Episode 3- was the Leech Lake night time walleye show

    Episode 4- was scrapped due to equipment problems

    @scmelik – It’s not going backwards at all, at least in my mind. My LX-5, when paired with a Lithium ion battery is smaller and lighter for hole-hopping. Not to mention, I have about a decade of fish-catching and behavioral-patterning of fish species tied into that unit. I love that unit and will never get rid of it!!!

    My LX-7 I tend to prefer for more stationary applications in a house, but I’ll be honest, I take both of them with me and fish with what strikes my fancy per given day. Some days, I just grab what’s most easily accessible, so if the LX-5 is at the bottom of the pile of gear, I fish with the LX-7.

    I have the LX-5 as well, what are the benefits of the lithium ion battery for it?

    Got it. I use them in my cordless drill and they hold a charge for a long time while not in use, no big deal for my Marcum. I gave three batteries in the rotation anyway.

    Thanks

    I was just kidding about the lighter wallet thing. I don’t use one but do hear those batteries are much lighter and last much longer. I think they also have quicker/better charging characteristics and are not affected with partial drain/charging.
