Debbie and i have been up here since June 28th and the time has gone be so quickly…
The fishing for us has been fantastic for numbers that’s for sure. . Walleyes in that 18 to 22″ range are plentiful and for us we caught the trolling Lead Core with Scatter raps and #5 Storm Smash Shads..We caught them casting jigs and trigger x plastics and also crank baits like the #6 Storm Smash Shad and the Arrashi 05 Silent Square !!! We also went out on the reefs and jigged them up with leeches..
SM Bass were on a tear !!!
Some of the same cranks or the VMC jigs and Trigger X plastics would get them believing the bait was a crawdad and lots of them would either spit up the craw or you could see the punchers sticking out of their mouths. .
We had a great time and I think we’re coming back !!!
