I am not one to complain about cuts scrapes and such,it would have to be really major injury before I even think of going to a doctor.

Last Thursday I stepped out of a vehicle at work and my left knee popped a little, I never thought ant thing about and continued on with work like normal,The following Monday it was swelled a tad , a gave till Wednesday to go away but t got worse so I made the dreaded call and went the doctor and that’s where all my frustration started..

The doctor tells me I have a Tibial plateau fracture, but need an MRI to be exactly sure, she went on to say I need to stay OFF the leg.(I said “good luck with that”!)Went home a brace on the leg and crutches in hand.

This does set well with me for I DO NOT SIT SILL well at all. No work unless I can do a sit down job(not gonna happen),no driving either. How the hell can I fish then ?

Most people would welcome this moment and screw the system, but I am a very active individual, this for sure will be a test of my life time !!

I can only sit home a slam BK on here so long !

I am hoping the MRI says GO BACK to work.lol

Interesting enough this injury happens to 50% of all adults over the age of 50. Grrrr

If this is any sign of what is to come when retirement time happens I will choose to work till I pass.
I cant freely walk around, restricted by a brace and crutches,no weight to be on my leg.

Hoping my MRI Tuesday say’s all is better than they think.

TV sucks… total waste of money !!

All I can think about is work and fishing !

My rant is over for now !

MRI scheduled today.. We are hoping that it is not as serious as they think. It will be a VERY long winter if he is laid up.

Well the exact problem has been determined WITH NO MRI needed …..

The first doctor was WAY OFF her game,my sports med Doctor today said it was like she was calling football plays while playing baseball !!LOL

The original swelling had nothing to do with the little knee pop I had.

My issue is/was Bursitis…My sports med doctor stuck me with a little syringe drew out the liquid in the bump, then squeezed out the rest..

At some time close to the day when I popped my knee I must have bumped it hard or kneeled down on something wrong that caused the issue.

Went home with no CRUTCHES,NO BRACE and best of all NO RESTRICTIONS just a band-aid !

I still cant believe the first Doctor was that far off on her diagnostics !!!

NEEDLESS to say I am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER !!!

I feel for you. I had it in an elbow several years ago and it’s not fun.

Glad to here everything is alright. Not all Doctors were at the top of their class but no one is right 100% of the time.

I hear ya Skeeter, it has a couple days now with no brace and crutches,I have just a little tenderness from where the stuck me with the needle and still no kneeling on that knee yet but I am starting love life all over again.

I just wish I could stop my FW from going over to BK’s camper in the mornings every weekend during the summer. I didn’t think he was ever “up” that time of the morning !

Thanks all for the support !!!
