    I’d give it a couple years. Look at all the issues Minkota has had in the past and they have been building them forever

    I totally agree, but on the other hand both Minn Kota and Motorguide still have issues so the way I look at it, they’re all making a decent product and they’re all going to have an issue from time to time.

    My Motorguide xi5 has been flawless so far so I have nothing to complain about, but I am always looking to try something new and different.

    It better have a remote option. It would be a cold day in hell before I would stand on a dang pedal all day. Not a fan of having a cabled pedal. I get it for bass fisherman, but I don’t want any obstacles cluttering up the floor and have no desire to stand on a pedal. I want to be able to control the motor from anywhere in the boat.

    It has zero chance of getting on my boat unless it would have every option available as with an Ulterra. Auto deploy, link to depth finders, similar to i-pilot link, a big remote that one does not need to squint at to see as one ages a little.

    Exactly! My xi5 came with a wireless pedal and I have used it exactly once in the 3 seasons I have had it.
