Quiet as a church mouse here this week with opener weekend coming up.
Weather looks great for the weekend.
I’m planning to change it up this year and fish North of where I normally go. Going to stalk BZZSAW for all the hot spots… 
Everyone is being tight lipped so no one squeezes in on their up coming hot spot. I’ll be at home doing stuff around the yard. I’ll be sure to read here on the two-day amateur hour that opener brings.
I’ll be north of franconia just like every year.

I have fished the Croix the last few years, but never made it out for opener. Excited for this year, will it be a crap show out there?

Wisconsin Inland waters also open up this weekend so that might take a bit of pressure off the Croix. But it is always busy on opening weekend. At least the boat landings will be open. The water is really low for this time of year. Looks like I may be heading south this year to avoid that Sandbar guy. 
Just ordered a flat of crawlers so they better be hungry.
The area i target is never busy. This weekend will be busy but that means about 12 boats for 6 miles of river.
Monday or Tuesday most likely for me. I don’t do weekend openers.
