    Supposedly these will not be able to be “blocked” or turned off if ever used? It’s my understanding the only way to avoid them is to have your phone either off or in “Airplane Mode”? I didn’t have my government alerts toggled off for some reason so I didn’t get a chance to test it.

    I do know that you can turn off the amber alert and storm/flood/emergency warnings under the “Notifications” and “Government Alerts” on iPhones. They are set to default as “on”, but once switched off will stay off. Mine are regularly off and stay off as the 2am wake up sound for storms or amber alerts is quite startling.

    Emergency sirens went off today at 1pm as usual. This stuff must be tested. I have zero issue with this alert.
