I saw a bull moose walking across a cut field just west of Fergus Falls,MN tonight. @sticker1 keep an eye out for it if your at the cabin this weekend. Of course it was walking towards the interstate when I saw it so not sure how long it will make it.

Cool, we used to have some moose in the area, but that was 15-20 plus years ago. That would be very cool to see again. I will for sure be up there and keep my eyes open for it.

We had a moose around Kettle River about 5 years ago. Coincidently, the show “Finding Bigfoot” did an episode in the area around the same time or shortly after. Their town hall meeting was literally 3/4 of a mile from our family property.

Are you sure it was a moose? devil

It was probably Bigfoot. Mostly likely, anyway.

There are/were some resident moose living north of Wheaton, about 6-10 of them as recently as 5 years ago living in/near the wildlife area by Rosholt/White Rock.

My BIL and I pushed one walking a willow grove during Thanksgiving weekend that was about 5 miles NE of the wildlife area. Talked to a local who was driving to a different spot to muzzle load, he stopped and waited for us when he saw the bull get out onto the county road ahead of him and us and confirmed there were a few around.

Living in Fergus Falls a few years ago there was a moose spotted a few times just NE of town 5 miles in corn fields near the Ottertail river. Never seen it myself, but it was a smaller bull. I think they follow the Red River down, and maybe the one you seen followed the OtterTail river over to Fergus Falls. Just a theory though.

I usually get 3-4 moose trail cam pics in the spring/summer at my property north of hibbing. I’ve jumped a moose on on a small river up there while in a canoe. It’s amazing how fast they can move swampy marshes. I’ll post pictures in the trail cam thread later.
