Headed to Webster area 2nd week of January to chase perch and walleye. I’m ordering an allotment of spoons, jigs and droppers. Curious what colors are best out in that region? I understand shrimp is the main forage for perch. Are small perch the main forage for the walleye? Thanks

Jigging raps , red buck shot.

I have used shrimpo jigs in the stumps for eyes and had great luck. Also JR’s Jalapeno jigs have done well for perch glow red.

Perch color works great for both species. I really like #5 rippin raps in the perch color out there. Also for perch the small size jiggin raps. Gold and black or perch. The spoon type things with the dropper chains worked great on waubay tipped with plastic or waxies for both eyes and perch mixed together.
If you get on active fish it won’t really matter what you put down they will eat it.

Gold during the day, glow red, pink or green at night. Pretty standard stuff, fish your confidence baits.
