Do you think it will kill the fishing? I never seem to do well when the temp drops 20 degrees like it’s supposed to. I should pay more attention to the barometric pressure I suppose.

I am supposed to participate in an outdoor fishing contest with food and drinks. No shelters and no heat. My wife is already aborting. I wish I could. It going to be cold standing around for 6 hours and wont be able to drink beer without it freezing.

I think a big part of catching fewer fish in super cold weather is the unwillingness to work as hard. I know I’m far less likely to drill 30 holes and move, move, move when it’s sub-zero. If it weren’t sturgeon spearing weekend, I probably wouldn’t go out this weekend.

A couple local lakes here have polar plunges scheduled to raise funds so get out your bikini and dive in.
