Heat Index? It hardly got into the 90’s… So sick of weather hysteria

Heat index is similar to wind chill and participation trophies. Makes you feel like you are getting more then you actually are.

the real scratcha is going to be pissed! I could care less about the temps. If its above 80, I sit in my meat locker. If its 70 or less I live my life.

Heat index is a better term than “feels like”. Misery index is the best.

Just ignores the temperature part of it. Know if today the heat index was 100 and tommorow it’s going to be 110, just prepare to sweat a lot more and have to drink more water.

A large storm just rolled by just above Rochester. Oronoco and the Lake Zumbro areas must have had a good time with it and now I see another round taking aim on the area, coming from the west. Our friends in Owatonna just felt its wrath. These are fast moving suckers this morning. We got a wee bit of rain when the storm that skirted Rochester as while ago passed. This next one is now by Clairmont and thunder can be heard in the far distant. This weather is just plain crazy.

8:50 in the morning and the street lights are on. The wind wall just hit and rain is so hard I can hardly see across the street at times. Has to be hail in it because the temp sunk about 20 degrees in a minute. The wind is something else.

Holy balls! We are by the airport in Rochester….opened my garage in case power goes out. Just sheets of well…..more rain. The lightning strikes are nothing like I’ve seen. About peed myself as I ran back inside! Power still on here for now but I see another round headed here real quick. Hope everyone is safe! I know my underwear isn’t

Be careful down there and take cover. Round two/three looks pretty nasty as well.

I met another member of ido this morning in cannon falls. At about 740 ish. Weather was wicked. We got down poured on and he said he got hailed on, on his trip up from Rochester.
I heard a few pieces hit my rig again. Rained so hard I was driving up 52 at 7 mph. Watched the truck go from 72 degrees to 59 in less then 3 minutes

Dam Bearcat, I haven’t driven in rain like that for years! My arse was soaked on the way home. Ran the truck in the garage b4 the next round came so haven’t looked to see if the hail got me. Now another round headed this way. Saw the damage to your truck in another thread. That sucks. Thanks for meeting me. Saved me trip. Good to meet you even if it was brief and wet!
