Just warm “weather” is all. By Saturday you will be feeling just fine.
July 19, 2019 at 8:37 am #1868262I believe it is called a weather pattern. More to the point, a summer weather pattern. You’ll be ok.
DeucesPosts: 5236July 19, 2019 at 9:30 am #1868279Summer seems normal to me, but the rain showers seem unordinary. Don’t recall such downpours, the flash flooding with every one is extraordinary.
July 19, 2019 at 9:56 am #1868290Warm air holds more water vapor, thus more rain falls in a shorter period of time. The entire eastern 2/3 of the country will is baking for the next 4 days.
huntinforfishPosts: 114July 19, 2019 at 10:26 am #1868304Is it hot and wet, yes. Is it comfortable all day, no. Will I complain, no. God forbid we start the trek toward winter anytime soon. My skin is finally feeling like it is back to normal moisture content after that long winter and short spring.
We upper Midwesterners sure are fickle. Too cold, too hot, too dry, too wet.

It seems like normal MN weather to me and the farmers almanac.
tanglerInactivePosts: 812July 19, 2019 at 12:25 pm #1868351Was traveling in the southwest recently. Arrived in Phoenix at about 1030pm and it was 105f. The last day coming back from CA we stopped in Palm Springs and it was 115f.
Minnesota really isn’t too bad.
July 19, 2019 at 12:47 pm #1868362Keep an eye to the sky this evening. I’m somewhat of a weather nerd having two relatives who work for the NWS…and all of the elements seem to be on-hand for some impressive storms and even tornadoes with the anticipated level of shear in the atmosphere. Further East into Northern WI could see a widespread derecho with significant wind damage.

Awesome! Unless sh!t hits my house.
Maybe it’s just my selective memory but I recall more frequent severe storms 10-20-30 years ago.
July 19, 2019 at 1:22 pm #1868373Please tell me when it’s gonna hail in south Minneapolis. I need a new roof.

July 19, 2019 at 1:41 pm #1868379The weather is fantastic. What sucks is that I dont live closer to the river to enjoy this weather.

You don’t work outside do you….
Thankfully we only get a handful of days like this every year.
I like fall, winter and spring. This summer stuff is for the birds.
I envy the people that live in the Pacific Northwest.
It’s 62 degrees in Seattle right now. That’s a little more comfortable than a 115 heat index.

Seattle would be my personal hell. But to each his own.

X2 Also I love my seasons too much.
B-manPosts: 5813July 19, 2019 at 2:46 pm #1868397I like “the seasons” as much as the next guy, but we have a pretty extreme swing here.
100° to -40° is a bit much lol
The Pacific Northwest is more like 85° to +30°.
I know a few people that have moved there or came from that area, none complained about the weather
Yet, EVERYONE in Minnesota bitches about the weather at some point in the year (usually twice) lol
July 19, 2019 at 3:52 pm #1868408Gotta bitch about something haha
Good thing I’m a Packer fan and have nothing to bitch about….

Dont work outside as much as I used to when with new construction. Now I go from AC truck to sweat box back of truck to someones cat urine soaked stagnant air basement all day. I wont bitch about the weather summer or winter. Love it all. Want to hear me bitch lets talk about cats.
