Weak Ice on Whitefish?

    Hi All,

    I am going to be fishing the Whitefish chain a fair amount this winter but have never been there before. Does anyone know if there are springs or anything to watch out for that could cause weak ice on Cross, Rush, Whitefish, or Trout? Clearly It’s important to stay off the obvious channels or rivers, but would love to hear if there are any other known places to steer clear of.

    That’s a huge lake with a ton of weak spots. Ask the bait shop for the area you’re going to.
