FYI, When Tim does close his store you do not need crappie minnows for spring time crappie on Tonka. We caught over 70 crappie yesterday using nothing but Flu Flu fly and Bobby G plastics.

I caught mine on both minnows and plastics last week and during the contest. I am generally an artificial lure kind of guy, but I would still like the option of using minnows too. Right now they are easy to catch in shallow water on just about anything but sometimes that’s not always the case. I’m sure a lot of ice anglers will need live bait.

I don’t get why none of the on lake gas stations don’t sell live bait. Seems like it would be a natural fit.

I’ve checked with numerous Holidays and BP’s coming from the east and there isn’t a single one that does it, other than a fridge with worms.
