Waubay area any reports?

I haven’t been there recently but may go later this month. Maybe you’ve already called, but Sportsman’s Cove usually has a weekly fishing report: (605) 345-2468. Sounds like some eater-sized walleyes on Waubay, Bitter and Opitz. But the report is from last Friday, maybe this Friday will have a newer update. Good luck!

We are heading up next weekend to get into some shore fishing. I know that we will have a boat or two as a backup. Have heard that the dry summer brought the water down, not sure if the recent rains have filled things back up again. Have heard some reports around Brookings, not so much around Waubay/Bitter.

Water levels are about normal, fishing is slow. Morning and evening bite is fair but midday is tough.

Fished Bitter in Friday and finally found active fish in wind ward shore line toward evening.

Waubay on Saturday was slow, a few nice Perch and Eyes.
