ARE SPECIALTY CHOKES SUCH AS ADVERTISED WATERFOWL OR TURKEY CHOKES THAT MUCH SUPERIOR TO THE STANDARD CHOKES THAT COMES WITH THE GUN.

Depends on the gun. My Browning Gold that I just sold threw more even patterns with the extended Briley and Trulock chokes than it did with the factiry chokes. My buddy has an SBE, and he says he patterned his gun and got good patterns from the factory chokes.

From what I have read on the web, most people that have tried the extended after market chokes seem to like them better than factory. Most also agree the ported chokes aren’t better than the non-ported extended chokes, only very loud. The one ported choke that does seem to get alot of love is the patternmaster/wad wizard chokes.

It’s really all in what you are looking for. The best goose and long range choke is patternmaster. I have tried a lot of them and they are the superior long-range choke, just don’t use them when hunting in-your-face ducks, because they become real ugly when hit at close range. I use it with a M1-90 Benelli and it works wonders.
