Went on a mini scouting mission on the way home from work and there are thousands of birds going outside the refuge and sitting in the fields. This Friday should be a slaughter. I got three fields on the line and two of them had about 4-5,000 geese apeice on them, covered. Flippin a coin for opener and goin’ from there. Mallards everywhere—-again in the closed season. It appears that there are very many birds around and with the rivers still open it would not surprise me if there were over 30,000 here right now. Anyone else in on the 5 bird a day limit. I mean this is what the early and late season is all about right? The 5 bird limit may chase me out of the area for a day or two.
Good luck to everyone this weekend!
