Tough morning in the fog

Only had this morning to get Olivia out this weekend. Hit the Mud lake marsh near home along with about 100 other people. We had a couple people already set up on our preferred spots and continued on. Managed to set up on a bend in the river between a few potholes. Lots of teal and woodies appeard out of the fog and were well gone before you could get a bead on them. Mallards were already shying away from decoys… Olivia popped a few and Ruger amazed me with a couple incredibly difficult retrieves in the thick grass. At 6 moths old, this dog is just blowing my mind with his mild temperament and natural ability. Never realized training a dog could be so easy. Now if we could get the hand signals dialed in, he’d save a lot of energy!
