As much as I disagree with the DNR’s current stance on AIS. Just a reminder this weekend to pull you plugs and clean your trailers so we don’t get any unwanted tickets.

    Good luck duck hunters!!!

You need to have your plugs in for waterfowl hunting kooty…

Remember you only get 3 shots..

I was thinking about this as I pulled Olivia’s stuff during the WI youth duck hunt. WI laws are different…but transporting is transporting.
    * Canoe filled with mud, water, weeds, and Lord knows what else.
    * Dog – He had what seemed like 5 gallons of water in his fur…
    * Decoys – Pond snot and other weeds attached
    * Decoy bag had crap in it.
    * Fanny pack took a swim and had every pouch filled with water.
    * Waders were encased in muck….

Naturally we cleaned up everything before leaving the best we could. Imagine a CO that having a bad day and was determined to find something………..

Just wondering after reading Kooty’s post…..

What about all the guys that have framed up blinds on their boats, a lot of those are made from cattails.

What would be the difference if I have some broken off cattails lying in the bottom of my boat or some guy has a framed up blind with cattails for cover?

“Technically” they’d both be illegal wouldn’t they?

Heck…what about layout blinds? I’ve used layout blinds hunting over water a few times where shore cover was marginal and used cattails or the natural vegetation to blind up.
