It was a wierd day in the goose pits yesterday. Crazy thick fog til noon and then it warmed up so fast that the flight was late. Rochester’s birds are decoy and call shy (big time) and unless you have 200 deke’s and good calling, you might struggle. My buddy and I sat all morning with nothing moving and decided to head in for a little while. I asked the neighbor boys (both 15) if they wanted to go. They only had one gun, so I let them use mine and I just called for them. It was the last 30 seconds of legal shooting when a nice 6 pack came in. The boys did good, they even breasted them out with a little tutoring. I think I’ll wait for some snow til I get out again.

Sounds like a great hunt Bob. Way too nice of weather to be shooting late season honkers though!
