It’s been a great fall introducing my oldest daughter to the great sport of hunting. First, youth deer, and now a trip to the waterfowl mecca of ND.

There are a ton of migrating ducks in ND right now, add in all the locals and it is duck, duck, duck everywhere you turn out there.

Lindsay is 5th generation to hunt our land near Newburg which sits right in the middle of the J. Clark Salyer refuge area in the northern part of the state.

We also spent a day with a high school friend of mine on some great land in the Garrison area.

Pictures show my first ever sandhill crane, Lindsay’s first duck, a good mess of ducks with a bonus snow and two specks, and next years hunting buddy Buck!!

Good trip, hope I can get out there for another long weekend yet this fall. If anyone wants to hook up for a 3-4 day trip, let me know. All my gear is still out there.

Sounds like a great trip! Nothing like going home to hunt in my opinion. Congrats to you both!
