Or lack there of…
Made it out for the first hunt of the season this morning. I prefer to wait for the later season but its nice to be out. The forecast was for partly cloudy/rain and winds up to 20 out of the west. Well they got the wind wrong but got the rain correct. The wind never did blow while we were out which really hurt as we were hunting a lake and the ducks set where they pleased. It did rain constantly sometimes being heavy. I did see a few flocks of teal, wood ducks and mallard but never had a shot. I’ll consider this a practice trip. 
I’ll get out again probably friday morning. It was nice to have some alone time with my oldest Seth as he didn’t have school today because of conferences but my other boys did.
