I hunted with one of my sons this opener and man did we have fun! After setting dekes for my Dad and his buddies we headed to our spot and got ours in. The whole time there were ducks everywhere like a bee hive. Got set up a minute or two late according to the shooting around us and it didn’t take long. Lots of teal, a few woodies and wigeon, some ringbills and lots of mallards. It took us 1.5 hours to fill out plus one goose the first day and 35 minutes to fill Sunday. The boy’s shooting was a little off so I played back up on Sunday.
Saturday, I started out with the Benelli Nova, Sunday I switched up to my Browning Citori and I just can’t miss with that fine gun! Other 2 crews with us didn’t do quite as well, but we all had a blast!
Can’t wait to get back there Saturday for one more morning hunt, then off to Canada for a week of shooting honkers and snows and giant mallards

Congrats on your opener. We had a great opener as well. My friend said he could not remember an opener this cold and windy along with so many ducks. Was one of our best for ducks.
We stayed on the teal (2 were green-winged). Saw Woodies and a few Mallards as well.
