`Went to a garage sale today and bought a dozen Tex Wirtz Mallard decoys. I have never seen them before, I fact Ive never even heard of them before. Anyone on here know anything about them. They are a hard plastic and look to be 1960 vintage.

Cool man. I had never heard of them till now, but I do like old decoys

I looked them up to see if I recognized them and found some one else talking about them. According to that person, they were made in Shelburn Indiana in the 1960’s. Some said they go for around $30 a piece on the internet. Said they were made in mallard, black duck, pintail, redheads, cans, bills, and geese.

Antique and Vintage decoys are pretty cool. I know there are people out there that really get into it. A great part of the waterfowl heritage in my opinion. Enjoy your find

I paid $20..00 for a dozen of them with cords and anchers. They are such a hard non fragile plastic that I think I will just have to use them. Unless of course someone wants them for $30.00 a pop
